Casa Del Vento: Renovating Our Bathroom

As part of our journey to build our dream home, we transformed what was once a single-vanity bathroom into a thoughtfully designed guest house retreat. This remodel was not just about aesthetics—it was about maximizing function and creating a space that embodies the serene elegance of Organic Modern Japandi design.

Before & After Pictures

Maximizing Functionality

Originally limited in usability, we reconfigured the layout to add a second vanity, improving balance and convenience for guests. Floating slatted wood vanities in light oak bring warmth and airiness, paired with integrated white sinks and solid-surface countertops for a seamless, modern feel. Fluted shower tiles add subtle texture, complemented by a recessed niche and a frameless glass partition for an open, spa-like atmosphere. A wooden shower stool introduces an organic element reminiscent of traditional Japanese bathhouses.

Aesthetic Harmony

Arched mirrors soften the space, while brass candle-style sconces create a warm, inviting glow. The terracotta and cream patterned cement tiles make a striking yet harmonious statement, adding depth against the hand-troweled plaster walls in soft beige. Thoughtful accessories—woven baskets, ceramic soap dispensers, and striped linen towels—enhance the natural, layered aesthetic.

Bringing the Vision to Life

This guest house bathroom is more than just a remodel; it's an intentional, tranquil space designed to blend functionality and beauty, perfectly complementing the vision for our future dream home.
