Project Nursery : Leo's Den

Project Nursery : Leo's Den

HEY Y’ALL! It’s been a minute since I’ve written a new post. Between getting pregnant, working, and motherhood, life has been a bit busy these past few months. Finally, 14 days ago I gave birth to Leo Nicolas Del Vento. He was born May 22nd at 8:30AM. He’s the perfect addition to our family. Now, we feel complete and even. 2 boys + 2 girls. Let the games begin.

Also, we recently moved into a new home and took time to decorate each room and space of this new place that we will call home for the next few years. I love interior design. I love to decorate spaces, I do it for fun. I’ve done a few fun projects here and there and have a crazy passion for well designed spaces. I believe they make a huge difference in your mood, environment and day to day living.

However, when it came time to decorate the nursery, I had to call for back up. Not sure if it was my hormones, or the fact its my last child and only boy, but I wanted this nursery to be PERFECT. My good friend Ann Ueno is an incredible interior designer and she jumped on this crazy ride of helping me design Leo’s nursery.

I went in with a pretty strong idea of what i wanted, i liked some sort of black and white wallpaper, possibly half the walls painted one color. I wanted a cast iron crib and this incredible changing table/dresser from RH that was the first piece I bought for Le'o’s nursery. I bounced ideas back and forward with Ann and practically drove her crazy for a good 1.5 months . Nothing better than a good friend who has great style who could help you process ideas.

Extremely happy with the final result! Its just the right amount of design, without overdoing it. I wanted something simple, yet well thought out. I think Ann truly crushed that.
