Part 2: The Dining room
We’re back, with part 2 of the newly-weds home design. This project here reveals the dining room portion of the greater design.
From the beginning, the owners and I agreed to make their home have a minimalistic approach to it. They had the desire to make their space feel soothing and warm, with an intentional design.
The home they purchased was an all-white home — white marble floors, white walls, etc. The look of it made it feel very modern yet somewhat cold at the same time. So, for this very reason, we decided to introduce warm brown tones to the home. This balanced out the palette-less look and feel. It brought warmth and comfort to the place of residence. Once the warm tones were present, the vibe of the home changed to a welcoming and cozy spot.
When working on an interior design project, the concept of “less is more” is all about creating simple yet impactful interiors. Simplicity is key to achieving this idea — a room that is spacious and offers a serene atmosphere will always nurture a calming mind.
